A bit about me

I'm an experience designer grounded in UX and service design. I like opening a problem up properly — enough user research to find what's actually driving it — before spending time building the wrong solution.

My immersive work has focused on experiences that aren't obsessively reliant on screens and headsets, using sensemaking principles to work across all of someone's senses rather than just their eyes. I'm particularly interested in narrative design — how it builds levels people come back to, and how it doubles as a tool for examining wicked problems alongside modelling and simulation.

All of which is what I actually use day to day. In Tech Services at Lush I've piloted point-of-sale and stock systems across the region, built training that sticks, and automated the boring parts so the people on the floor can get on with the actual work — and every one of those is a research problem before it's a technical one. “Design a system humans can live inside” doesn't change much between an immersive experience and a Tuesday afternoon in retail.

  • 2025 —

Operational Specialist, Tech Services — Lush, Australia & Aotearoa

Supporting stores across Australia and Aotearoa on the systems they run on — training, troubleshooting, and building the tooling that keeps a shop floor working when something breaks.

  • 2025

    Assistant Manager — Lush Parramatta

Piloted a new point-of-service and stock management system for our region and the country, then ran troubleshooting and onboarding for the rest of the region. Led the team through a visual merchandising realignment, and moved ordering closer to what the store actually needed to cut waste.

  • 2024 – 2025

    Supervisor — Lush QVB

Onboarding and up-skilling the team, designing incentives against our targets, and building Power BI reports on customer trends — then using them to steer ordering, stock allocation, and to measure whether a merchandising change actually moved anything. Also ran the product-making workshops and parties.

  • 2023 – 2024

    Sales Assistant — Lush QVB

Consults, stock, payments and POS, opening and closing.

  • 2022 – 2023

Evening Barista — The Organic Bread Bar

Coffee, bread and pastry service, close-down and cash-up, wholesale production sheets, and training new starters on the particulars of an evening shift.

  • 2022

    Barista & All-Rounder — Bluebottle Espresso, Manly

Front of house through weekend rushes — coffee, kitchen prep, POS.
